KETCHUP藝術(shù)小組成立於2012年,成員包括劉斌、李震、熊時(shí)濤,他們?nèi)硕籍厴I(yè)于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院,卻以“非職業(yè)藝術(shù)家”的姿態(tài)出道。不論是在身份的界定還是創(chuàng)作動機(jī)上,KETCHUP一向?qū)Α敖缦蕖钡馁|(zhì)疑與挑釁貫徹始終,竭盡一切頑劣與嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)膽B(tài)度和手段,將其自身的模式與思考維持在某種模糊的中間地帶之上。

劉斌 1979生於黑龍江,2002年畢業(yè)于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院視覺傳達(dá)係,平面設(shè)計(jì)師,現(xiàn)居北京。
李震 1980生於山東青島,2003年畢業(yè)于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院建築系,任教于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院城市設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院,現(xiàn)居北京。
熊時(shí)濤 1974生於江西南昌,2000年畢業(yè)于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院雕塑係,任教于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院城市設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院,現(xiàn)居北京。
《女性藝術(shù)大展》是李震、劉斌、熊時(shí)濤三人藝術(shù)小組KETCHUP繼“茄汁”之後共同策劃的又一個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)藝術(shù)項(xiàng)目,如果説“茄汁”是通過戲倣與拼接國際頂尖藝術(shù)家的經(jīng)典圖像,從而探討藝術(shù)界既得利益裏所隱藏著的曖昧情緒,那《女性藝術(shù)大展》則是三個(gè)男人嘗試把男性和女性的性別界限模糊之後,在靠近女性感覺的過程中,試圖觸摸到的生命中男性和女性性別意識之外那些被忽略但卻微妙存在著的精神領(lǐng)域。
3個(gè)男人去做一個(gè)女性藝術(shù)大展,可能大多數(shù)人都覺得肯定是如花那樣的效果,但這並不是他們想要的。展覽中的6件作品沒有抹去他們的男性身份,而是首先把“做自己”這一點(diǎn)確定了下來,然後從這裡出發(fā),去靠近他們體會中的女性世界,再通過攝影,雕塑,裝置等手段把這處於男性和女性交界地帶的感受表現(xiàn)出來。調(diào)侃和戲倣仍然是他們作品流露出來的氣質(zhì),但創(chuàng)作並沒有簡單停留在這裡,他們作為設(shè)計(jì)師和藝術(shù)家的雙重身份——體現(xiàn)在對作品細(xì)節(jié)、品質(zhì)、審美和感受細(xì)緻入微的把握,讓這一組創(chuàng)作有了更引人入勝的豐富滋味。
“Feminine Art Exhibition” is another experimental art project planned by a three-artist group, KETCHUP which is comprised of three male artists Li Zhen, Liu Bin, Xiong Shitao after the exhibition “Ketchup”. If we say “Ketchup” is an investigation of the ambiguous emotions hidden in the vested interest in the art circles by parodying and stitching classic images of top international artists, “Feminine Art Exhibition” is that the three men try to touch the spiritual realm which is subtly existing but ignored besides the gender awareness after blurring the gender boundaries between male and female and getting close to the female feelings.
Most people may feel that the effect of a feminine art exhibition made by three men must be like Dennis Rodman in wedding dress; but this is not what they want. They do not erase their male identity in the six works to be exhibited, but take “being themselves” as the basis, and get close to the female world in their feelings from there, then express the feelings in the border area of men and women through photography, sculpture, installations, etc. Ridicule and parody is still the temperament of their work, but their creation does not stop there; their dual identities as designers and artists - reflected in the nuanced grasp and control of work details, qualities, aesthetics and feelings, create more compelling rich tastes in this group of work.
